laterz, y'all

Okay, I realize I have been absent for a while. But it is because I am in the process of moving back to school for my SENIOR YEAR!

So, our foyer looks like this:

And the contents of my closet are eating this chair...

so, currently...

but you know what? It's really okay. Because I'm about to start the best year of my college career. I'm living with three of my best friends, working a few great jobs, taking classes I'm legitimately excited about, and more! I'm going to enjoy every second of this crazy year that will help prepare me for my post-grad life, whatever that may involve!

So, I will be on blogging break for a little while while I get my apartment together and help welcome the freshmen to my wonderful school as a part of Orientation Staff! I will be sure to share pictures with you once I am settled!

Thanks for bearing with me, y'all! Be back soon!

beach week recap!

So I'm back from my vacation as of Saturday and still trying to get my life together (big surprise there), thus the delay in the recap of my week on the beautiful island of Hilton Head. You and I both know that we all love pictures so much than words sometimes, so how about I just throw some pictures your way and call it a day? K. Deal.

Parkes joined us for the first part of the week, and we had fun reading on the beach, eating lots of junk food, and getting some quality hang out time before we head off to school.

Andrew then came down to go with my dad and I to the PGA Championship on Kiawah Island. We had one night with both Andrew and Parkes there, and it was so fun having all of us together for a fun evening in Harbor Town.

Unfortunately we didn't have the best weather for the PGA, but we still had a good time trudging through the rain to admire the gorgeous Ocean Course and see a few of my favorite big-name golfers!

rainclouds weren't completely bad- they made for a gorgeous IG pic!

the fam!

To complete our tour of the SC coastline, Andrew and I drove up to Murrell's Inlet to the wedding of my ZTA grandbig, Allie!

just passing through the Holy City for now, but I'll be back this weekend for the Hootie concert!

Unfortunately we haven't had much time together, however, Allie and I became close in our short time together at Wofford. Long story short, this beauty went to study abroad in Australia (second semester of my freshman and her junior year), met a wonderful guy named Ben, stayed an additonal semester, and transferred to the university there and has been a transported Aussie ever since-- talk about crazy. I miss her dearly but am so glad she is loving life over in Oz and I am so happy she came back to get married stateside!

Needless to say, it was a wonderful week of relaxtion and quality time with friends and family. I can't believe it's halfway through August already! As I'm winding down my internship and getting things together for moving back to school, it's finally hitting me!

Hope you all have a lovely Wednesday and hope you enjoyed my photobomb of a post!

{guest blogger} - Lindsey @ Turtles and Pearls!

I'm excited to share with my readers two lovely bloggers I admire! I'm sure you have heard of them before, and they've so kindly agreed to share a little of the blog savvy and style on my page while I am away at the beach. First up is Lindsey!

Hello {unspeakable joy} readers! My name is Lindsey and I blog over at Turtles and Pearls. I'd love it if you stopped by and said hello. I've guest blogged for Ryann once before, and was excited when she asked me to guest blog again! Thank you for having me, Ryann!

Today's post is about fall accessory trends. To be honest, I'm really a plain Jane. I usually stick to solid colors, but I love to make a statement by mixing one bright or fun piece in with neutrals. I usually choose one bold accessory, and the fall accessories below definitely make a statement. When combined with one of my simple outfits, they really help me to stand out.

Statement Necklaces
I know statement necklaces have really been popular this summer, but why not wear them this fall, too?
A statement necklace can really dress up a simple outfit for a night out. Trade in those shorts for jeans, throw on a statement necklace, and you'll be ready for a night out.
Bauble Bar
I think these short booties are the perfect shoe for a dress and tights. I wear boots almost every day in the fall, so these are a perfect change from my normal riding boots. They're also a little dressier than most boots, which makes them extremely versatile.
Steve Madden
Oversized Clutches
I love the idea of an oversized clutch as a part of your outfit, not just somewhere to throw your things. Use an oversize clutch as a way to add a little something extra to an evening outfit. Not a big fan of the huge clutches? There are quite a few out there that are bigger than normal, but not overwhelmingly large.

What accessory trends are you loving for fall?

It's ok Thursday!

Hello lovelies! So excited that it's almost the weekend!

I'm linking up for "It's Ok Thursdays" this week, and I think it's going to be good!

It's ok that I'm working from home today. The office cubicles are being rearranged, so I'm out of commission for a while. But seriously, there's nothing like working in your pajamas before lunch, then heading to Starbucks after lunch with your laptop to pretend like you're someone important.

It's not ok to have computer issues. ughhhhhh.

well, at least one person feels my pain enough to give me a "favorite".

It's definitely ok that I head to the beach on Saturday. What's not ok is that I haven't started packing yet... hmmm.

It's ok to be sad that the intern team is going their seperate ways. I've had a great summer with this group and am sad to see us all go off to school. I still have a few weeks of work- I'll be lonely without them!

It's ok to be jealous of my boss, who's attending the BlogHer conference in NYC this weekend!

I have to keep telling myself it's ok to have bought two pairs of shoes in one week- thank you reasonable Target prices and Nordstrom anniversary sale + giftcard!

been pinning up a storm of outfit possibilities for these babies!

a fall staple. lookin' goooood!

It's ok to be semi-obsessed with the Matt Kearney Pandora station. Any other good recommendations for my driving playlist?!

Are you doing ok this Thursday? Link up and share what's going on with your week!
