Time to get real.

oh, hey y'all.

If you haven't noticed, I've been pretty absent from the blogosphere, and I apologize greatly for that.

The truth is, life has gotten a bit crazy. But let's be real, isn't it for all of us?!
Anyway, I just wanted to let you guys know some thoughts that have been running through my head.

As of late, I've felt guilty when I think about how absent I have been from my little corner of the blogosphere, especially when, which rarely happens, I am able to peruse my dashboard and see the excellent posts are my favorites are doing!

Life is just going kind of fast right now, and blogging isn't really ready to enter the mix, just yet.

So, that being said, I am not quitting blogging. I'm just trying to remind myself of why I do blog- for my enjoyment! To stay connected with my blog friends! To keep up with trends and fashion! Blogging is not a chore- thinking of it like that would ruin it for me.

So, as for now, I'm just going to enjoy my senior year! I will be up and running in a few weeks and I am sure by then I will be refreshed and back in the blog groove. For those of you who haven't been following me on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, etc, here's what's going on in my life!

I returned to Wofford and worked on the Orientation Staff and had a blast!

with my bestie Martha before the field day for the freshmen!

My O-Week group was the "Athletic Academics"- like our sporty wear and nerd glasses?!

I started work with the Wofford marketing department- I'm doing press releases, working with the Facebook fan page, playing with Pinterest... what more could I want?!

I'm Pinterest famous, y'all!

I started classes- marketing, contemporary American fiction, art history, and a poetry workshop (!!!)- trying to get that 4.0 this semester!

I enjoyed some Terrier football, and even got a visit from my sweet boy!
this Tiger is a Terrier for a day!

my not-so-little ZTA Grandlittle!
Currently I am trying to survive recruitment. I cannot believe it's my last one! It will be a great weekend but man, is it time consuming!

missing Charlotte during this Zeta-filled time- can't believe she was a ZTA senior when we took this!

In my free time, I'm either napping, drinking coffee for more energy, or spending time with my friends between a busy schedule. Not much computer time there!

Thank you so, so much to all of my fabulous readers for bearing with me during this hectic time. I love your sweet comments, and I love checking up on your posts when I have a little downtime-- please keep it up!

Hope you all have a great week!

Senior living... College senior, that is!

Okay, sorry for the longer-than-planned blog hiatus. Between serving as a member of Orientation staff, getting the apartment together, getting in the groove of classes, and getting things together to get going with ZTA stuff again, I have been quite a bit busy. Just wanted to let y'all know I'm still alive and as life slows down, I'll try my best to be more consistent.

So, for my first order of business, I promised a few blog and real life friends that I would post pictures from my new apartment! Yay! I have been on campus in a dorm my past 3 years, which has its downfalls, but is mostly an excellent thing because of the community feeling here. However, as a senior you are privileged to live in what is called the "Senior Village", also on campus. The Village consists of gorgeous Charleston-style apartments with porches, rocking chairs, awesome kitchens, and beautiful wood floors and doors. AND I don't have to pay rent/utilities- it's the usual housing stuff. Awesome.

Without further waiting, I will introduce you to my humble abode! Lots of you may know Charlotte at From Carolina Cotton to Illinois Corn- one of my real life friends pre our blogging days. Charlotte is a Wofford grad, and funny enough, I am living in the same apartment she lived in her senior year- and I love it! I am so blessed to live with three of my absolute best friends this year. We all get along so well and have had a blast so far!

see that little cute blue one? We're on the second floor!
My Bedroom

Had to show off my pinterest project- too many necklaces that are too pretty not to display!

My desk/TV area- this is my first time EVER having a TV in my bedroom- and I love watching late night Friends.

The view of my "cube" as you walk in- cozy, but still so nice.
 The Living Room
Amazingly enough, as we were getting things together, it seemed that each of us all had some great things to contribute. Luckily, we only had to purchase a few pieces of wall decor and a chair (that is on the way) to complete our living space!
Loving our cute chalkboard- we change the message daily!

This awkward picture doesn't do justice to our precious dining nook!

A better look at the whole living area

Still working on this, but I love our painting and the wicker coffee table/trunk!
Our little nook with my favorite drawing of Old Main, belonging to one of my roommate's grandfathers who went to Wofford!

Lea got these precious frames at Market- I am so obsessed with them!
 The Porch!
By far, my favorite part of the apartment is our porch. We are lucky in that to access our porch you must go through our actual apartment, so we have it all to ourselves! We've got three rocking chairs and cute director's chairs that we can bring out if we have guests. Prime people watching, my friends.

My favorite place, any time of day.

I decided to leave out pictures of my roommate's cubes and our kitchen just because we're all sort of still in a transition phase right now. Everyone that visits says our place looks like something straight out of Pier 1, and I must agree. However, as I said, we were so lucky in that we all ended up having a couch that matched a rug that matched a lamp that matched a chair! Talk about resourceful.

Hope you enjoyed my mini tour of my humble abode! But let's be real, this is nicer than anything I'll live in a few years after graduation.

How do (or did) you decorate your apartment or dorm in college?! Happy weekend, friends!
